Am new to Microsoft Dynamics Navision and i need your urgent help here. am trying to setup smtp mail setttings in Navision 2016 so that i can be able to email documents such as payslips through Navision system but am not able since in our network environment we are using a proxy server. does anyone knows how to configure smtp mail setup in an environment that uses a CCproxy server? kindly help.

I created a workflow for a purchase document, here I'm using Workflow User groups to approve my request.
If my Workflow User group consist of a single user then the workflow works fine.
i.e status changes from open->Pending approval and then on approval by the single approver it changes to Released
now my Workflow User group consist of two users with each sequence number as 1.
Here even after approval of request from both users my Workflow status remains as Pending Approval.
I refreshed my page to check but it still remains the same as Pending approval.
Can some one help with a solution.
Hi Forum, reaching out to get some expert input around what are the most common reasons for companies using NAV to add users to their implementation?
There's the obvious ones I can think of such as:
- company growing and additional people onboarded that require access
- company aqcuisition and another system being replaced with NAV users
- new NAV capabilities being utilized, requiring more people to have access
Would be really interesting to see any other real live based examples from you guys out there? If you have ever added users to your NAV - what was the reason?

In NAV 2017, when choosing 'Set Work Date' and then selecting a date from the dropdown calendar the user receives the error 'Date is not Valid'
If the user types the date into the 'Work Date' field instead then the error does not occur.
Any ideas? Thanks
I have a customer who has numerous approval workflows for purchase orders of over 500.
However all orders can be automatically approved if under 500.
Does anyone know what the workflow steps should be for this? So that users still press Send for Approval, but it gets automatically released

Diving deeper into the book 'Extending Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016' from Packt today.
At this point I'm looking for the directory that would contain or a way to acquire the cmdlet:
New-SelfSignedCertificateEx.ps1
AND\OR
New-NavSelfSignedCertificate.ps1
the book tells me to navigate to the directory or folder where I saved New-SelfSignedCertificateEx.ps1 but I didn't save that anywhere explicitly.
I'm working off a current install of NAV 2016 with Windows Framework 4.0

Found another article going through the same thing and I get stuck at this step:
At the command prompt, import the PowerShell module by typing the following command: Import-Module <dvddir>\\WindowsPowerShellScripts\NAVCertificateAdministration\NAVCertificateAdministration.psm1 or a path equivalent to where your PowerShell module is located.
I don't see NAVCertificateAdministration\NAVCertificateAdministration.psm1 anywhere.
I've tried importing all the modules I can find in the DynamicsNAV\90 folder and still no New-SelfSignedCertificateEx.ps1 or anything else cert related.

I can't seem to find a place to report bugs so I'm starting here.
I have NAV 2016 installed. Windows 10 Version 1703 OS Build 15063.0.
Settings->Devices->Mouse->Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them is set to On.
In NAV, when I go to Departments and expand the menu to the point where I need to scroll and I try to use the mouse wheel to scroll, NAV crashes. It does not crash when I set Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them to Off.
I have a Logitech Wireless Trackball M570. Setpoint Control Center version 6.67.83, Driver version 5.90.41.
Hello Experts. For some reason, the report (10077) Sales Shipment Report that I modified is now showing an extra page at the end of the report. I have modified this report to add another tablix. Everything looks good except that it always prints an extra page at the end. Also, the page numbering is a little off (right upper hand corner). This is a Nav report that allows users to print more than 1 copy. Anyway, I did add a dataitem right bellow the Sales Shipment comment Line and has the same indentation as Sales Shipment Comment line. The parent is the sales shipment.
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this extra page and to fix the page numbering issue in Visual Studio 10? It's not as simple as getting the builtin page numbering as Nav is allowing users to print > 1 copy of Sales SHipment Report. I have been playing with this report for a while now. Ugh! The contents are great. But the extra page(s) drives me nuts. If I save as pdf, it gives me twice the number of pages. thank you all in advance.

Our company has been using NAV 2013 R2 for more than a year now without any server issues. Recently, we were advised to create additional NAV application servers to distribute the load of users connecting. The new NAV server instances runs on separate window server installations. But upon deployment of the servers, we started encountering errors randomly across the three servers and causes the instances to stop. We isolated the issue and found that the errors randomly occur when 2 or more servers are running simultaneously.
Our IT already raised this to our provider and they too were unable to troubleshoot the problem. I was hoping that someone here already encountered the error and was able to troubleshoot the issue. The error usually is as follows:

We use an OData Connection to connect to Power Bi. I use recordRef to get the bookmark for each record and I want to be able to apply this to our Power Bi table to act as an hyperlink to a Navision Page, Similar to how it works on Reports and Emails.

Hi, does anybody know how to add a table/column (for example one of dimensions (it could be Project Code), or for example VAT No.) to show results on general ledger entries view. The columns are highlighted, and I want to add a new column and show it.

My problem is that I cannot see the column in the list af available columns.
How can I get an additional column (VAT No, Project Code, etc) in the list of Available columns, and then to add it to "Show columns..." list ?

I read many documents and i understood it somewhat about Document Type report creation.
But still some doubt .
In the document provided by Microsoft ,there is one section as shown below.
In the header of the report.rdlc file, create one or more text boxes to save the data from the hidden text box in the body section. For example, in report 206, a blank text box is in the header section. It has the following expression as the value of its Hidden property:
=Code.SetData(ReportItems!CustAddr.Value,1)
The first parameter in the SetData function call corresponds to the name of the text box in the body section. The second parameter corresponds to the group number.
I checked Sales order report in Cronus database but not found any textbox in header with hidden property shown above. Also checked many reports , In that also I did not found such a textbox with the hidden property.
I am using the demo database ,Cronus in version navision 2016 .
We are doing the report designing in Microsoft SQL server Report builder provided by Navision . Plz help. Plz

The NAV 2016 CU14 download does not appear to be available. Is there any way to get this in the near future?
