Hi,

Some of users can export NAV data to excel, while some users cannot. The exported excel document is empty. We use Excel 2016. Is this a permission issue? Or something else.

Thank you!

Dynamics NAV 90 job queue memory usage

Hi!

I encountered a problem with using the job queue on Dynamics NAV 90 (2016). When booting, it uses all the available memory, causing the service to be blocked. The NAV Server has 10GB of RAM.

I have a separate SQL Server with allocated memory 14GB.

I can not find where to handle a RAM limitation.

Anyon can give me some indication please?

Many Thank's

RTC stops working with .NET error - NAV 2013 R2 on Windows Server 2012.

Hi guys,

We've been having a lot of issues with NAV RTC crashing. The error message is not extremely informative, it just says:

Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client has stopped working.

A problem cause the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I checked in event viewer and the error seems to be related to .NET framework misbehavior. Please check the event information below. In the past I've ran into this problem and managed to fix it by installing an updated .NET framework version or repairing the existing one but now with .NET Framework being part of Windows 10 OS all my attempts did not fix the issue.

We are running NAV 2013 R2 on Windows Server 2012 fully updated and RTC is running on Windows 10 fully updated (Build 1703 Creators update).

Has anyone every run into similar issue? If so, how did you guys solve this?

ODATA date problems

We are having problems saving Purchase invoice, Sales Invoice and Journal data with dates, using odata web services.

On a big amount of transactions the date is saved one day after the correct date.

Most problems appears when we try then to pay invoices, but are now checking dates after saving invoices and try to correct it.

We tried this link, reduces the times the problems are present, but still continues.

We are using NAV 2015

Hi,

I'm creating performance tests for NAV(using https://github.com/NAVPERF/NAV2017-Sample)

and I have a control on a page which is not visible by default.  How can I make the control visible in order to use it in my test. What is the syntax in C#?

TaxAmount field

I am trying to find the source of the "Total Tax" field that appears on the invoices. It appears that is not a stored number but rather a calculated amount. I don't know how to track it backwards from Page 132. If I go to the "statistics" (page Sales Invoice Stats. (10041)) it will show me the "Tax Amount" again, but is this number stored in a table or is this just a calculated number that is calculated for all of these pages?

If these numbers are calculated totals, are they all getting the component tax amount from the same table when they make the calculations?

The default dimension already exists. Identification fields and values: Table ID="5025400",No,="MNCLS4D108W211790",Dimension code="MAKE",Make Code=" (Select refresh to discard errors)

Any thoughts? Thanks

Gst Patching for nav 2013

$

Hi Expert ,

This is the first time i will be doing GST patching in NAV 2013.

Kindly rectify me if my approach is wrong.

I have created three DB

Steps 1:

  1. Customize DB
  2. Base Version of Customize DB(Cronus).
  3. GST patch DB. // this is also cronus but i will import all the fixes here

Steps 2:

  1. In GST patch DB , i am importing all the below prerequisite patches
    1. No.TFSIDFixes Description
      1338699Service Tax Reverse Charge
      2TFS346176TDS_Zero_Percent
      3TFS351237IN_FVU_Version_3_9_For_e-TDS_TCS_return
      4TFS354131FVU 4.0-4.1
      5HF 355971FVU 4.0-4.1
      6TFS160376Swachh Bharat Cess
      7TFS167290Additional Depreciation
      8TFS167309eTDS FVU 5.0
      9TFS167311Krishi Kalyan Cess
      10TFS177308eTCS FVU 5.1

i will import all the patches sequentially ,with merge option as replace.

    2. then i will import the IN7.0_TFS180497 GST Goods and Service Tax with merge option as replace.

Steps 3: Compare the  Customize DB and Base version of the Customize DB(Cronus),find all the customization done in the Customize DB and taken this customization to the GST patch DB.

Steps 4:Compile the GST patch DB and resolve any error.

Steps 5:Now take the all the object from GST patch DB and import it into Customize DB with merge option as replace.

Dear Expert ,

please guide me if my approach is wrong or is there any better and shorter ways to do the above patching process.

thanks all

Payment Gateway API Call

Dear NAV guru,

Have any of you tried writing a code to send payment request to Payment Gateway through REST API?

The idea is to click a button in NAV on the customer ledger entries page to charge customer on a particular invoice and this will send a request to the payment gateway to charge the customer.

I would love to use dynamicsonline however Australia is not in the list of countries that the service is available.

Regards,

Susy
