NAV send email error

I have configured the SMTP settings in our NAV, and confirmed they work using the test function. 

However I receive the error that states:

- The email address "" is not valid.

when I try sending an email from the Posted Sales Invoices page.

The steps I'm following are:

- Select a Posted Sales Invoice

- Click the Action Tab

- Click the email button, which brings up the Edit - Send Email

- Enter the To address, while testing I've just been sending the email to myself (which is exactly what I did when testing the SMTP settings).

- Added a short message

- unchecked Edit in Outlook (I also tested with the Edit in Outlook Checked, which worked, it brought up my Outlook account)

- Clicked Ok

At this point NAV tries to send the email but I get the error.

One thing I noticed is the from address doesn't get filled out in the pop window, since I know my to address is valid I'm think it must be related to the from address, but everywhere I've seen examples of this on the internet the from address was always blank.

Any insight on why this is happening would be greatly appreciated.

nav integration with office 365

hello, i am trying to do an integration between nav 2015 ( on azure account ) and the office 365 
i got the VM on azure account and all necessary components.
after importing NAVOffice365Administration module,
i try to run the script: Set-NavSingleSignOnWithOffice365 -NavServerInstance “ServerInstanceName” -NavWebServerInstanceName “WebServerInstanceName” -NavUser “YourNavUser” -AuthenticationEmail “YourOffice365Email” -NavServerCertificateThumbprint “SecurityCertificateThumbprint” with replacing the necessary brackets.
but it give powershell error: hexadecimal value 0x3c is an invalid attribute character 
i did some adjustments to Set-NavSingleSignOnWithOffice365 by replacing < > & by &lt &gt &amp but the problem isn't solved it!
please any help?

Entries applied to an Outbound Transfer cannot be unapplied.

Dear all,

I have created a Purchase Order on the "Blue" Location with a single Line Item (Quantity 1 PCS) and then made a GRN. 

After that the Item has been transferred from "Blue" Location to "White" Location using Transfer Order Journal.

Now realized that there is a mistake on the GRN and I want to rectify my mistake but I'm not able to do "Undo Receipt" from the GRN after reversing the Inventory from "White" to "Blue" Location as previous.

How to solve this problem ?

Prior Item Price

Good Morning-

So, I thought this was going to be a simple question from my client but, I cannot find an answer.  They want to be able to run a report to find the price they previously charged a customer for a specific item.  They have special offline pricing for some customers and want to be able to look up that prior transaction sell price to ensure pricing consistency.

I'm looking for something like the Customer Order Detail report but, using posted invoices.  I cannot find any report or any way to do a lookup on this, without knowing the invoice number.  I know the sales invoice line table has the info.   Do we need to do a custom report here?  It just seems so basic that I feel like I am missing something.

They are on 7.0 SP1

NAV 2015. Outlook 2013 Synchronization error.

I'm trying to use the Outlook Synch. feature in NAV 2015 with Outlook 2013. I've successfully established connection to the web service with the Outlook Add-in.

Now using any of the standard mappings available in NAV, for example I enable 'CONT_COMP' (Contacts of type Company) for my user.

When I go to the folders tab in the Outlook AddIn, After I choose a folder to store my ccontacts, I get this error, so the folder is not saved in to the configuration.

Company name change on SQL

Hey,

I've changed the company name in a NAV2015 database. My problem is that I want the tables on the SQL to have the prefix also updated and it is not happeing since DynNAV now uses the multitenancy architecture.

Has anyone tried a procedure to update the sql tables prefix?

Is there a way to not repeat a Row Header after the first page? I have a report where in the first page I get last month balance for a specific account which will be visible only on the first page. I need to hide that row in the following pages.

Any help will be appriciated.

Custom DLL & NAV 2013 R2 Database

Dear All,

The DLL Registration related issue is still not resolved. BTW I have come across a new issue related to the same problem.

The actual scenario is:.

I'm able to access two different Database through RTC Client and as well as through Developer Client from a single Client Computer.

The databases are 1. MGR& 2. OPT.

A custom dll is registered into the Client computer &  I've declared the dll as an automation in Page (ID 43) in the MGR Database. The automation is working fine without any issue.

Now I've export the Page 43 from the MGR database & import the same into the OPT database. The Page 43 could not find the class name in the OPT Database, hence a compilation error is occurred.

Then using the Developer Environment Client I've declared the automation variable with the proper class name (manually) in the OPT database & now it's working good.

Why does one database can able to locate the class while other cannot "from the same computer" ?

Is there any issue related to my Registration Process ?

The Other Client PCs are still not able to locate the Automation Class name & it's not a compulsory that every Client PC should have Developer Environment installed.

Registration Process:

1. Accessing the Command Prompt through Administrative rights.

2. DLL is created in .NET framework version 3.5 & RegAsm.EXE is used to register the dll from the .Net framework  v2.0.50727 folder

3. DLL is dropped into system32 folder

4. /codebase option is used during registration

5. Gacutil.EXE is not used 

What are reasons ?

Nav Server stop working for a while

Hi everyone,

We use 3 tier Architecture at Navision 2009 R2. Nav service's performance is fine. But frequently Client(RTC) locks for 15-25 second same time. I think Server stop working in that time. Because, all clients are affected this problem same time. We have 35 users. Especially, this problem occurs busy times.

Nav2015 - Make Word Layout Non-Editable when Running Report

Hi all,

I am playing around with word layouts for reports in Dynamics Nav - 2015. 

I have a report (based on standard 205 - Order Confirmation). When I run the report, I click on 'Preview' and it brings up the word document for me filled in with some details (variables I put in) ready to be edited. -- But Editing this word document makes no sense in my case and could cause problems with data consistency if any values were accidentally(or on purpose) changed.

So I'm wondering how do I make this word document non-editable? Or how do I solve this issue, where the data in the report shouldn't be changed by the user when this report is run? 
(NOTE: this word document can also be opened from the 'Print...' dropdown button on the request page)

Client Crash, 'Item Ledger Entries' form - Navision Dynamics 2013 R2

We are experiencing an issue where the Client Crashes when a user attempts to open the ‘Item Ledger Entries’ form for a particular item.

 

This crash only seems to occur on certain screen resolutions (1280 x 1024) and will only occur if the Item Ledger Entries form opens in full screen.

 

This only happens on one item.

 

Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

How to filter a List Page with column source as Function

I have a list page.  In that list page, I am calling a global function from the source table as one of my columns.  Everything looks great.  However, I want to be able to filter that column where source expression is a function call.  At this time, I can't ...the filter to this value is disabled because that column is not part of the source table.  Any suggestions on how to customize the list page so we are able to filter values from that column?

Zetadocs Express Timeout Occuring

We are using Zetadocs Express version 6 in NAV 2013.

We have many users who use NAV through Terminal Server RemoteAPP in offices around the country.  Zetadocs in this environment allows uploading of files up to around 1Mb, but anything more than that and it appears to time out, with the error "Failed to save the document.  To solve the problem, please contact your administrator" (And of course I am the administrator! ).

I have turned on debug level logging and tested but can't find any definitive information.  I wonder if there is a timeout setting that can be made in either the Zetadocs Archive Service config file, or the client?
