Engineering Builds

Hello Everyone,

Is anyone else using NAV in an Engineering and Manufacturing environment? If so how do you maintain inventory control with "Prototyping"? I am finding Production orders very cumbersome as they are very static in nature. I have contemplated using service orders, but I need to do some more research on the ins and outs of them.

Does anyone have any good suggestions of models of how your company handles this issue?
