I'm currently working in Dynamics NAV 2016, with BOM Items. The following things need to be achieved:
- I need to be able to create two items and group them together as a item to sell. (Done this through Assembly Bom items)
- Then I need to be able to block the sale of the items that consist of the bom structure (Been able to do this with some functionality from an Add-On LS RETAIL POS, which we also use)
- Next I created a Service Item group, so the system would create a service item every time the Bom item is sold. This is where my problem comes in. I need two service items to be created (for the BOM item components, rather than the bom item it self).
This is being done in the Sales Module of Nav 2016.
Is there any way to get this done? I understand that once a bom item is selected, I can explode this, but this then defeats the purpose of 2). And because of that setting, it is also not possible to explode the BOM-item. I do not want any sales person mistakenly choose a non-bom item to sell. The main reason for this, besides the fact that it is only half a product when only selling one of the two items within the Bom, is that I always have to purchase the items within the bom in even quantities as pairs.
