Hi expert! I still have problems install the NAV 2013 using the customize to instll the components. Below is what I have done so far.
1. Install SQL Server 2012 (successfully)
2. Below is what I have installed and problems installing NAV 2013 from CD:
Add or removed components ->SQL Server Database Components ->Demo database (Select Run from my computer)
In the specify parameters, under SQL server Database Components, it list as below
SQL Server: NAV2013
SQL Server Instance: NAVDEMO (tried to delet the instanace, but the field is locked and cannot update or delete anything)
SQL database: Demo Database NAV(7-0)
When clicking Apply, it shows there is no instance of NAVEDEMO. I ignored it and continued to install it till it was comnplete.
But When I started NAV Server, NAVDEMO is automatically showing in the database instance textbox. Don't know why.
Then I opened the SQL Server Management Studio. In the SQL Server Management Stuido , I cannot see the Demo Database NAV 9-0) listed under the database.
Then I opend the SQL Server Configuration Manager. After clicking the SQL Server service, I can see SQL Server (NAVDEMO) running
But SQL Server Agent (NAVDEMO) stopped, and under the start mode column, it showed Other (Boot, System, Diable or unknown).
3. I also tried to install to client to the same machine to see how it worked. After the installation was complete, I saw this error:
Version\Dynamics.NAV70.NA.1184421.DVD\RoleTailoredClient\program files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\70\RoleTailored Client\Add-ins\CodeViewer\EditorComponents\Microsoft.VisualStudio.UI.Text.Wpf.KeyProcessor.Implementation.dll. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
