Service Invoice

I am trying to create a contract and invoice it from 9/12/2015 until 9/12/2016 and so on. I use 9/12/2015 as starting date but the invoicing date is default from 1/1/16-31/12/16 if i set the 'invoice period' to 'Year'. Is there any way to change that?
