if "company" is a different company (independent legal entity) in NAV, then yes, this will need customization. Depending on your master data setup this can be quite a change. That's one of the specifics of NAV as an ERP, IMO: The company is the top level (and sadly, also in most cases the bottom level) for a consolidated view without actually using a consolidation or a BI tool.
For your requirement I would suggest to have a look at the Jet Enterprise product. This does a classic BI cube approach with some neat NAV-related features.
